It may be summer in Orange County Schools, but the learning never stops! Two of our outstanding middle school science teachers, Jeff Faulkner of Orange Middle School and Kristie Mabry of A.L. Stanback Middle School, were selected to participate in the Outreach Design Education (ODE) Summer Design Camp with Duke University.
The Orange County Board of Education held its annual organizational meeting on July 14, 2025, where members elected a new chair and vice chair for the 2025-2026 school year.

Orange County Schools announces free summer meals for children available through OCS School Nutrition Services. Boxes with five days of meals are available from three locations, and individual child’s meals are available at convenient open sites across the community.

As we approach the beginning of the traditional calendar for the 2024-25 School Year, new Campus Student and Campus Parent portals will help everyone get more insight and information on the go. New this year! Students who attend an approved Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) do not need to fill out an application as they are approved for meals at no cost. Learn more and view the application for Free and Reduced Price Meals!
